Becoming the best version of yourself begins with understanding who you are.

I’m Dr Rupy Kaur Roberts
Health Psychologist. My work focuses on how we can change our behaviours to become the best version of ourselves, in ways that are realistic, ethical and grounded in evidence-based psychology.

I am not a wellness influencer or a motivational coach. I’ve been practising for over a decade, and my work is shaped by professional training, lived experience and accountability to HCPC professional standards.

My philosophy
Health and wellbeing are deeply personal. There is no one-size-fits-all solution.

That’s why I take time to understand each client, organisation, or group I work with. My approach is grounded in evidence-based health psychology, drawing on psychological models, current research and real-world experience.

At RKR, you won’t find generic programmes or surface-level advice. You can expect:
-
Clear, accessible explanations
-
Thoughtful, personalised planning
-
Practical tools developed from science
-
A supportive and responsive approach
This philosophy runs through all of my work, from
one-to-one support to consultancy, training, and speaking.

My background and approach

I am a third-generation Indian woman from a Sikh background, a professional woman living with cerebral palsy, navigating life in a power-assisted wheelchair with 24-hour support. I am married and have a young son.

From a young age, I have had to challenge assumptions placed on me by society. I have had no choice but to lead my life on my own terms, rather than according to what others expected of me.

This has meant continually stepping outside my comfort zone, in areas such as education, employment, navigating social and health systems, living independently and holding ambitious personal and professional goals. These experiences have shaped not only who I am, but how I work with others.

While I live with a disability, I am clear that struggle is not unique to any one group. Everyone carries personal challenges, and no one’s difficulties or triumphs diminish another’s. This belief sits at the heart of my empathetic, inclusive approach.

My core aim has always been, and continues to be, to support people in becoming the best version of themselves.
Health psychology takes a holistic approach to wellbeing…
It focuses on the interaction between mind, body, behaviour and environment, rather than treating thoughts, emotions, or health in isolation.
